Using Email Filters
Members don't have to be chained to their computer, or have a web enabled PDA or
cell phone to use our service. We send a daily "AFT Update" message naming
the models which have changes. It can be forwarded to any device
capable of receiving text messages, as long as your email provider offers this
feature.........
It's called an email filter, and this is how we recommend you use it. When you set up your AccuFundTrader account use your normal email address. Then log on to your
email account, and set up a filter that tells your email provider: If
you see the words "AFT Update" in the subject line, forward this message to my
text messaging device (cell phone, PDA, etc.), but also place the message in my
inbox. Each day when your email service receives the "AFT Update"
message it will do whatever you directed it to do in the filter. You also need
to have text messaging enabled on your cellular service
account.
If you don't see the name(s) of the
model(s) you are following, there's nothing else to do, as there are no changes for
your model on that day. If you do see the name of a model you are following, you
need to log on to the
member area of
this site; get the current trades; and place the trades. If you do not
receive the text message or receive an incomplete message, you will need to
logon to your email or onto our web site to determine if there are changes.
You need to be careful with this because the maximum length of text messages is determined by your cellular
provider. The message could get truncated, or it could be broken up into
smaller packets. The following table shows some
cellular providers, their limitations and format of the text message address:

Every email service is different.
For more specific information we suggest that you
checkout the "support" page of your email provider, and if a search function is
available, search for "email filter". Following are some links that may
help you
get started:

In April of 2007 we contacted Comcast customer support
regarding email filters and were advised that they don't currently support this
feature. We left the link in case you want to check back with them later. We
also don't know if AOL supports it, but it appears the other four major email
providers do.
